Distance Learning Approach

Model 3 supports one-to-many type interactions between a presenter and up to 1000   participants.  It provides 1-way (instructor) audio and 2-way text messaging back  (facilitator), polling, remote presentations, and remote computer control.  The prime use of this Model is to provide web-based seminars (webinars) to up to 1000 participants or sites simultaneously over the internet.  Material is presented remotely either on the participants own computer monitor or through a video projection of the material on a large screen at the remote site (s).  The purpose of this approach is to inform rather than to specifically educate.  Participant interaction with the presenter is limited to text messaging although responses from the presenter will be in voice or text. Each participating remote site will have its own trained local facilitator who will facilitate interactions between the presenter and the participants, as well as to provide on-site support of the technology utilized in the webinar.
